Since 2018 I have been a Program Director at dreambuilders centre4change working with people in crisis using person-centred and trauma-informed processwork to create a safe, reflective, holistic space in which to heal. I now bring these skills and talents to the supervision space providing supervision for case workers and pastoral carers. To help with this I use creative ways to open up the space as well as the traditional methodologies. I encourage people to explore and discover more about themselves and how they engage in ministry, in life and with others.
I have done this for most of my life and now I can do it with a capital S because I am an accredited Supervisor with AAOS and a certified Root Cause Therapist. My heart is for everyone to live their authentic lives and to be the best they can be, including you.
I work face-to-face with people in the Wyndham area, and on-line with others further afield.

To be involved in pastoral ministry is to be involved in dynamic, rewarding work. It is also very demanding. Within the context of a safe and trusting supervisory relationship, the process of regular supervision offers space for growth, sustainability and energy. Supervision brings perspective on both your work and yourself within that context. I see supervision as creating intentional conversations that move us towards the integration of purpose, values, identity and faith. My formal qualifications include a Diploma of Christian Counselling, a Master of Counselling & Human Services and a Graduate Certificate in Professional Supervision. I have enjoyed many years of leadership in student, women’s & pastoral church-based ministries, counselling, secondary school chaplaincy, hospital pastoral care and clergy wives support. I have long held a deep call to ministry involving the care and growth of others and as a supervisor, I would be excited to partner with you.

With a background in Christian counselling and supervision, my style of supervision is to walk alongside my clients through reflective and safe discussions encouraging restorative and transformative learning. Walking beside enables rejuvenation for one’s work and personal calling while developing and maintaining consistency and harmony between beliefs and work practice.
The focus during our supervision sessions is on actual ministry situations, experiences, and issues that may be affecting or can affect the quality of one’s ministry. The discussion is balanced with a psychological informed approach and a theological framework that provides safe, thoughtful, and structured reflection and insight.

I’ve had extensive experience in a variety of ministries. As a Defence Force chaplain for over 16 years I served in many parts of Australia as well as active service in the Middle East and Timor Leste. Subsequently I’ve ministered in hospitals, schools and parishes, and held executive roles in different organisations.
My experience is that pastoral supervision has been important personally in helping me to flourish in work which has been spiritually, professionally and emotionally challenging, particularly when I’ve been part of a ministry team or have held leadership positions. I look forward to supporting others to flourish in their ministries.
